Karachi: Mutton and chicken meat continue to be sold at high prices

Karachi (HRNW) Poultry and goat meat continue to be sold at exorbitant prices in Karachi despite the prices being fixed by the administration.
The city administration had issued a notification to sell chicken meat at Rs 365 and mutton at Rs 1220 per kg but shopkeepers are selling chicken meat at Rs 500 and mutton at Rs 1600 per kg and no one is going to ask them.
Administration’s actions on violation of government rates remain useless. Citizens termed this profiteering as helplessness of district administration.
Citizens fear that this year, as every year, prices may rise further in the month of Ramadan.
