Islamabad (HRNW) Shehbaz Sharif-led federal government has decided to change Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Ashfaq Ahmed, well-placed sources told media.
According to sources, Asim Ahmed, a BS-21 officer of the Inland Revenue Service (IRS) and also a former chairman of the revenue board, is likely to take the charge. A summary in this regard has also been prepared.
Asim Ahmed has previously served as the FBR chairman from April 2021 to August 2021. He also held the additional charge of a member of the information technology (IT) in the FBR.
