Defender Tuta signs long-term contract with Frankfurt

Eintracht Frankfurt have been boosted before their Europa League final with Rangers by tying Brazilian defender Tuta down on a long-term contract to 2026.

The 22-year-old centre back’s extension was confirmed by the Bundesliga club on Tuesday, a day before their meeting with Rangers in Seville.

He joined the team in 2019 as a teenager and gradually stepped up into the full squad after spending his first season on loan in Belgium.

“Tuta has taken the next developmental steps in this season and has turned into a solid part of our team,” Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche told the club homepage.
