Firing During NA-240 by-election, 1 killed, several injured

Karachi (HRNW) During the by-election of NA-240 constituency, aerial firing took place at different places in Landhi No. 6 in which one person was killed and five others including a PSP leader were injured.

During the firing, bullets were also fired at the ambulance of the rescue agency, while business in the area was shut down.

Pak Sarzamin Party (PSP) leader Anis Qaim Khani’s vehicle was also fired upon. PSP leader was not present in the vehicle at the time of firing.

Anis Qaim Khani has claimed that 4 to 5 people opened fire on my car, 4 bullets were fired at the car, he said that former MPA Iftikhar Alam was shot.

A police mobile traveling with the vehicle of PSP leader Anis Qaim Khani was also shot.

The DRO wrote a letter to SSP Korangi on the issue of tension in NA-240.

DRO Nadeem Haider in his letter said that there was tension and aerial firing in the area and security should be ensured where there was tension.

The letter said that the security of the camp office should also be ensured.
