DRAP’s team recovered more than 250,000 Panadol tablets from a warehouse in Karachi by conducting an operation against the hoarding of Panadol.

According to the Ministry of Health, the DRAP team raided Altaf Traders in Karachi’s Kuchi Gili Medicine Market, and around 252,000 Panadol tablets were seized during the raid.

According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, this hoarding created an artificial shortage of Pina Dole in the market, but now DRAP’s team has taken over the stock.

Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel has said that those involved in illegal activities will be dealt with with iron hands.

The Health Minister says that action is being taken against the sellers of non-standard medicines. Legal action will be taken against those selling more than the approved price.

It should be noted that there has been a severe shortage of the fever drug Penadol in the country, and the pharmaceutical company says that it had requested to increase the price by one rupee per pill, which was not accepted. It is not possible to sell the drug at a loss.

The president of the pharmaceutical manufacturing company says that more than 45 million Panadol was being manufactured every month, which has now been discontinued.
