KARACHI (HRNW) Sindh Solid Waste Management Board Managing Director Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah directed to improve the sanitation system in Korangi Industrial Area.
In the important meeting, Imtiaz Ali Shah instructed the concerned officers and said that measures should be taken as soon as possible to improve the sanitation system in Korangi Industrial Area and provide relief through modern system.
He further said that Korangi Association of Trade and Industries (KATI) officials should cooperate on awareness and strategy made in this regard as per the agreement.
Currently there are 777 members of KATI out of which only 137 factories are cooperating with SSWMB as per agreement. All factory owners should hand over waste to SSWMB officials to ensure safe disposal of waste.
He said that every industry should be mandated to use dust bins of SSWMB so that waste collection process can be improved. An effective awareness campaign will also be conducted in this regard.
