The leader of the robbery group arrested from Azizabad confessed to several incidents

KARACHI (HRNW) The ringleader of a dacoit gang arrested by Azizabad police last night after a police encounter has confessed to several incidents.
Accused Ikram alias Muna son of Shamsuddin along with his other accomplices confessed to stealing hundreds of motorcycles from Karachi. The accused said that the motorcycle was sold in Balochistan after being stolen.

According to the accused, he has been stealing motorcycles for the last 10 years and has stolen more than 100 motorcycles so far. The arrested and injured suspect has been detained several times in different police stations of Karachi including Shah Faisal Ka Loni, Napier, Timuria, Tipu Sultan, Gulberg and has gone to jail. On March 23, a senior citizen was killed while resisting robbery on Tariq Road. The accused is also matching in the CCTV footage of this incident.

In the year 2021, the accused had also shot a person during a resistance incident in Shah Faisal Colony area. Apart from this, the accused has also revealed that in the past, he shot and injured people in different areas for resisting robbery. A pistol of 30 bore with loaded magazine of 4 rounds was recovered from the possession of the accused.
The motorcycle No. KPT-3884 Maker Unique 125 used by the accused was seized by the accused along with his accomplice on 19.01.2023 from the area of Police Station Temuria. The case of which is registered as charge number 212/2023 under Section 397/34 at the Timuriya police station.
Charge No. 225/2023 under Section 353/324/34 of the Criminal Code and Case Charge No. 226/2023 under Section 23 (1) were registered in Azizabad police station. The search for other co-conspirators of the accused is on. Further investigation is underway
