Karachi (HRNW) On the direction of Fayyaz Ali Butt, Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh, issuance of Zakat cards has started from Sindh banks across the province.
Fayyaz Ali Butt, Advisor to Chief Minister of Sindh, said that in the first phase, 46,000 Zakat beneficiaries are being given these cards. Biometric system has been introduced to maintain transparency.
He further said that these Zakat cards are being issued from Sindh Bank branches across the province. The Sindh government has made every possible effort to make the distribution of Zakat transparent at all levels and it is hoped that after the biometric verification, undeserving people will be discouraged from taking Zakat.
