Funeral prayers of Martyred Brave Soldiers were offered first in Turbat and later at their hometowns

Rawalpindi (HRNW) Funeral prayers of Major Saqib Hussain Shaheed (age 31 years, resident of District Sanghar, Sindh) and Naik Baqir Ali Shaheed (age 26 years, resident of District Dadu, Sindh) who embraced shahadat on 2 July 2023 while fighting gallantly with terrorists in Hoshab area of Balochistan, were offered at first in Turbat and later at their respective hometowns.

The Shaheeds were laid to rest with full military honours.

Senior serving & retired officers/ soldiers, relatives and large number of people attended the funerals.

Pakistan Army remains committed towards ensuring defence of the motherland at all costs.

Earlier Two Pakistan Army soldiers embraced martyrdom and another suffered injuries on Sunday during a security patrol operation in the Balor area of Balochistan’s Hoshab district.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a combat patrol of security forces was initiated in general area Balor, based on credible intelligence with respect to move of a group of terrorists, linked with firing incidents on security forces and civilians besides planting of Improvised Explosive Devices in Hoshab area.

The military’s media wing said that while the security forces were establishing blocking positions to cut off escape routes, the group of terrorists attempted to ambush the incoming patrol and opened fire on the security forces. As a result of heavy exchange of fire, Maj Saqib Hussain and Naik Baqir Ali embraced Shahadat while another soldier got injured, the ISPR statement said.

The statement said the security forces, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart such attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan.

Resultantly, the follow up operation to nab the perpetrators of attack continues in the area.
