KARACHI (HRNW) Prof. Dr. Rakib F. Efendiev of Baku Engineering University, Azerbaijan, and Prof. Dr. Firuza Rahmatulloeva, Director of Astronomical Observatories, Tajikistan Academy of Sciences visited Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology and later called on Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Vali Uddin to talk on the issues of bilateral interests. They discussed the options and opportunities for combined ventures of both academic institutions to promote academic and research activities in both countries.
Dean Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Amir, Dean Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture Prof. Dr. Mir Shabbar Ali, Registrar, Engr. Cdre. (r) Syed Sarfraz Ali, Chairperson of the Department of Mathematics, Dr. Asma Zaffar, Chairperson of the Department of Business Administration, Dr. Ammad ul Haq, Siraj Khilji (Advisor to Chancellor), Prof. Dr. Rashid Kamal Ansari, Dr. Ingila Rahim (ORIC) and Ms. Fozia Iqbal were also present on the occasion.
Prof. Dr. Rakib F. Efendiev gave a short presentation related to his research work, while the Dean Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Amir gave a brief presentation about SSUET.
Sir Syed University has already signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Baku Engineering University, Azerbaijan.
Prof. Dr. Rashid Kamal Ansari, Prof. Dr. Rakib F. Efendiev, and Prof. Dr. Firuza Rahmatulloeva are jointly preparing a working paper to initiate a line of action to enhance the applicability of the objective of this meeting. As, earlier they all discussed the matters of common interest in great detail.
Prof. Dr. Firuza Rahmat and Prof. Dr. Rakib F. Efendiev presented souvenirs to Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Vali Uddin while the Vice Chancellor in return gave them a university shield.
