Two Kohat men arrested for impersonating women and defrauding victims

Kohat (HRNW)  The Kohat police have arrested two men suspected of defrauding other men after speaking to them on the phone in a woman’s voice.

According to Kohat DPO Captain (retd) Mansoor Aman, these men were the ring leaders of a gang that used to speak to men on phone in a womanly voice. They then either posed as employees of a bank, Ehsaas Cash program or  game show Jeeto Pakistan.

The men were then asked for their bank details, through which the suspects stole their money.

The police seized millions of rupees, seven cell phones and 14 sims and also froze their bank accounts. The suspects have also confessed to luring in people from India, Dubai and Saudi Arabia via WhatsApp audio calls.
