Dr. Azra Pechuho inaugurates experimental dispensary in Itthead Town

Karachi (HRNW)- Minister for Health and Population Welfare Sindh, Dr. Azra Pechuho, has inaugurated yet another experimental dispensary in Itthead Town, Baldia. This comes as part of the Integrated Service Delivery Strategy being unfolded in the underserved and peripheral areas of Karachi. This will allow the residents to have their healthcare needs met close to their homes and in a safe and secure environment.
Based on the SHRUCs action plan, the Ittehad Town experimental dispensary is one of 8 such centers in underserved areas that have recently been established and are now fully functional, in order to meet community needs.

These dispensaries are in addition to the 8 that were already made funtional in Gujro, Gadap Town over the last two years and will go a long way to save children from vaccine preventable diseases such as Measles, Polio, Typhoid and others.

On the Occasion the Minister for Health Sindh said that “This is a step in the right direction and now there must be increased provisions to provide maternal healthcare as well as care for children.”
She was joined by Parliamentary Secretary Health, Mr. Qasim Soomro, Secretary Health Sindh, Dr. Kazim Jatoi, Coordinator EOC Sindh, Mr. Fayaz Abbasi, Technical Focal Person NEOC, Dr. Altaf Bosan and EOC Core Team Members.
