Ban on gas supply to Sindh’s industries is a biased measure, Ikramullah Dharejo

HYDERABAD: (HRNW) Provincial Minister for Industries & Commerce and Anti-Corruption & Cooperative Department, Ikramullah Dharejo has said that the federal government’s ban on gas supply to Sindh’s industries is a biased measure. We strongly condemn the biased attitude of federal government. Sindh is the province which produces 70% of the gas from which the industries and stoves of other provinces are run, but Sindh is not getting gas. He expressed these views while talking to media persons at Shahbaz Building, Hyderabad today. Addressing the federal government, he said that we should not be forced to protest, gas comes out of Sindh so the first right belongs to Sindh while load shedding of gas from Sindh should be stopped immediately.

He further said that various political parties are propagating that PPP has made a deal, if PPP had to make a deal, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto would not be hanged, Benazir Bhutto would not be martyred and former President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari would not be behind the bar without any crime for 12 years. He said that Pakistan Peoples Party had always believed in the power of the people, this incompetent government had given nothing to the people except inflation and unemployment, made false promises to the people, this government would soon come to an end.

To a question, Provincial Minister Jam Ikramullah Dharejo said , ‘ Prime Minister claims that he is fighting against the mafia while the mafia is standing to his right and left, these are the people in all kinds of mafias. Inflation cannot be controlled unless Imran Khan gets rid of these mafias’ . He said that in the case of Corona, we need to strictly follow the SOPs while the management should implement the Corona SOPs in any case. Replying to a question, he said that legislation was being enacted in the Anti-Corruption Department to improve the prosecution and investigation for which an amended summary has been sent so that the department could function more efficiently.

Therefore, there is a need for each department to hold the negligent officers and staff accountable through self-accountability. He said that if any one has a complaint against the officers of the anti-corruption department, he should inform and strict action will be taken against the officers and employees involved in the corruption.
