Sialkot lynching: Diyawadanage remains handed over to Sri lankan ambassador

LAHORE: (HRNW) The Pakistani officials handed over the remains of 49-year-old factory manager Priyantha Kumara Diyawadanage to the Sri lankan ambassador on Sunday.

Diyawadanage was killed by a mob over blasphemy allegations, his body was set on fire in Sialkot on Friday. The horrific killing drew widespread condemnation from all segments of the societry, including government officials and human rights bodies.

The Sri lankan ambassador after taking over the possession of remains have reached the airport under police security. The remains will be taken to the deceased’s family.
