Karachi (HRNW) An explosion has taken place in an underground sewerage drain near Sakhi Hassan in North Nazimabad area of Karachi Central, however no loss of life or property has been reported.
According to Nasir Bukhari, Deputy Superintendent of Police Administration, Karachi West Zone Police Office, shopkeepers have illegally put up roofs on the sewerage drain near Mobile Market near Sakhi Hassan Flyover on Sher Shah Suri Road in North Nazimabad.
The blast on Saturday evening blew off part of the roof of the drain, but caused no casualties.
According to Nasir Bukhari, the area police immediately rushed to the spot and had the place inspected by the concerned department.
