Karachi police rescued 2 foreign kidnapped women

KARACHI (HRNW) Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) police in Karachi’s Scheme 33 area rescued two foreign women and arrested five kidnappers.

The women are from Kenya who were called on the pretense of jobs.

According to SSPAVCC Abdul Rahim Shirazi, the rescued women are Kenyan citizens. The two women were called to Karachi four months ago by a group of abductors under the pretense of employment and were kidnapped and imprisoned.

The abduction of the women was reported directly by the Kenyan Embassy after which the AVCC Police and CPLC in a joint operation rescued the two women.

2 people have also been arrested from the crime scene, 3 more people were arrested on the identification of the arrested accused. Raids are on to arrest the main accused.

Police officials say that women will also undergo medical check-up.
